The Dinner Volunteers provide a full meal for 25 people at 7:00 pm (this will give you time to set up as our guests typically eat at 7:30 pm). Please bring the meal in through the left side entrance at the handicap ramp. Water, cups, paper plates, plastic utensils and napkins will be available for you to use. Please feel free to stay and enjoy fellowship with our guests after dinner until ‘lights out’ which is at 10 pm. *For parents or groups with children, we would ask that those under 16 stay in the accompaniment of their parents/guardians and remain in the kitchen area.
To avoid repetition, our suggested schedule for meals is as follows (we now have a kitchen where meals can be warmed up):
Monday-Italian (Lasagna, spaghetti, etc)
Tuesday-Stew (Beef or Chicken)
Friday-Hotdogs & Hamburgers
Sunday-Meat & 2 vegetables (Roast Chicken, Ham, Meatloaf, etc.)
6:45pm – 6:30am

Homeless Training Video
Many of our volunteers requested training on interacting with the homeless, so we’ve included this video as a part of our training. Please take time to at least watch the video until the 10m30s mark on engaging our guests before volunteering!
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video until the 10min 30sec mark on mental health, and we are grateful for your compassionate service.
