In Summary:
It was a week of transition at the CFC as Lea, Krista and Mark were in training preparing for expanded and new roles related to diversion and prevention.
In addition to our regular engagement, we worked to connect several guests who have recently (or will soon) transition into longterm housing with furniture assistance, primarily through greeNest.
The CFC / CWD has added new team members this week: Laura, David, and Mimi.
Laura and David are working with John to develop a medical program specifically related to food health. Mimi joins our team as an AmeriCorp and will be working with us for the next year. We're excited to have them with us!
We're excited that several ideas and new programs at the CFC that have been in the formative stages are moving forward in the weeks and months ahead. Stay tuned for more information!

Final Thought:
A poem related to our daily challenges/opportunities and the work we do at CFC:
I said: What about my eyes?
He Said: Keep them on the road.
I said: What about my passion?
He Said: Keep it burning.
I said What about my heart.
He Said: Tell me what you hold inside it?
I said: Pain and sorrow.
He Said: Stay with it. The wound is the place where the light enters you.”
