Welcome!
The Community First Center allows CwD to increase the IMPACT of our innovative programming, case coordination and meaningful community connection. The 4500 square feet of open, cafe-style gathering space fosters hospitable community among persons from a variety of backgrounds- from those experiencing homelessness, individuals recently housed, and those in the community who have never experienced homelessness. The warm, welcoming community space is part of CwD’s hope and commitment that our facilities feel like home, and never “feel like a shelter” or a “homeless program or center.”
Guests can use the CFC mailing address to send and receive mail. Guests cannot pick up mail for others.
PHONE & COMPUTER
Guests are invited to use one of three computers and two phones to connect, apply, learn, etc. during weekly open hours.
OUTREACH
Guests can connect with staff to navigate the housing process or connecting to other essential services and resources.
COFFEE
Come and enjoy a cup of hot coffee and a warm welcome!
RESOURCES
CONNECTION
As able, we'll help connect guests to available community resources, including Food Banks, Mental Health Services, Shelter, etc.
VITAL DOCS
Guests can use the available technology and the support of volunteers and staff to access and request vital documents to assist in the housing process.
